Dan Li works with video, sound, 3D simulation, and installation. She is particularly interested in the fissures that open up in moments of noise and in haunted in-between spaces. Within these liminal textures, her work examines how geographic imaginaries are reorganized, how exoticization and the gaze operate, and how possibilities for escape and alternative modes of perception might emerge.
